Every classroom and lab on UT Tyler’s campus has a Public Access Bleeding Control Kit. Would you know how to use the items inside during a bleeding emergency?
The “Stop The Bleed” campaign better prepares the public to save lives if others nearby are bleeding badly. This class raises awareness and teaches people three quick actions to control serious bleeding.
Through the Stop The Bleed course, you’ll learn to recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene effectively. If you’re next to a bleeding victim, you may be the one most likely to save a life. Classes are free and available to faculty, staff, students and members of the East Texas community. Classes last no longer than 60 minutes. Classes end with each participant receiving a STB Certificate.
